Two secrets (or confessions)

I some times indulge in reality TV. I used to watch Survivor back in the day. But last night I watched the Bachelor final. I had a mini crush on Jason, but I think I'm cured after the craziness that happened. I also am fascinated by the Biggest Loser, though I don't know why. I often watch it while I'm at the gym... is that weird?

I had been eating a lot of chocolate. I have stopped cold turkey. I think it was making me feel a little off. It was either cutting out chocolate or starting to do Pilates (and trying yoga) that seems to have solved my problem.

I watch BL, but I refuse to spend 2 hours watching it. I tape it and then watch it later--I can get it down to 45 minutes then. Last year I watched one of the epis in real time while at the hotel gym, b/c I was at a conference. It's a bit surreal but it's better than sitting on the couch watching it!

People are up in arms about the Bachelor. I'm just waiting for the season where the guy decides he's gay. THEN we'll have seen everything!

Thanks for the comment. I agree, I usually don't just sit down and watch the episode. It takes them more than 30 minutes to get 12 or so contestants weighed it. The thing that drives me the most bonkers on the treadmill (and I'm watching in real time) is how they put someone on the scale, let the numbers tick around and then go to commercial. After the commercial, they have to have the person walk up to the scale again, like in the 3 minutes of commercials, I've forgotten what was going on?? It's annoying.

Pete definitely agrees with you about how annoying it is that they repeat everything after the commercial. When we were in Hawaii we watched it in real time then, and Pete was in agony.

Generally, they could cut that show down to an hour. I can't stand how long they spend talking about who to vote off and how badly they feel, blah blah. I fast forward through all that and most of the weigh in--they spend so long talking about the person's weight, I generally don't need to stop. I also watch the first part of the challenge and then fast forward through the rest.

I also watch Top Chef and The Amazing Race. TAR has full epis online with fewer commercials but I generally tape that too. At least it's only an hour.

I was wrong about the Bachelor. I'll have seen everything when he asks BOTH women to marry him. But I haven't seen the B since the Dr. Travis Stork (who could forget that name??) season.

OK, I just watched last night's BL. It was really good! Loved the cooking challenge and the food bank challenge. Loved the fact the youngest contestant gave the mom of 5 his groceries. Super good!
